Ruth Hardy is a senior environmental assessment practitioner with over 15 years of work experience focusing on strategic regulatory guidance and advice, and management of environmental assessments and permit applications. She also has experience in community and land use planning, land suitability analysis, and soil and terrain survey and analysis. She has a multidisciplinary resource management masters degree, and is a professional Agrologist.
Ruth has solid experience in provincial, territorial and federal environmental assessment processes, including coordination of technical and EA methods sections; coordination of consultation sections, authorship of land / resource use assessments and cumulative effects sections; and review of associated commitments for environmental management plans and monitoring and follow-up plans. Her sector experience covers independent power wind and run of river) projects (provincial EAs and Development Plans), and hydroelectric (BC Hydro), transportation, LNG terminal, mining and groundwater extraction projects. She is familiar with legislation pertaining to environmental assessment and land and resource use planning, and has excellent analytical and communication skills in researching and writing reports, including providing regulatory interface and guidance, and managing internal and external project teams to meet or exceed client expectations.
