Malcolm Smith is a skilled and highly respected environmental professional with 20 years of experience in a diverse range of fields including environmental assessment, environmental and sustainability planning, facilitation of multi-stakeholder planning processes, and public and First Nations consultation.
Malcolm has a successful track record of providing environmental, regulatory, and stakeholder support for a range of infrastructure and resource development projects in BC. He is adept at managing large-scale and controversial environmental assessment processes, advising government and private sector executives on strategic environmental issues, and leading multi-disciplinary consulting teams through successful approval processes.
Malcolm’s direct experience advising and leading and environmental permitting and approvals processes includes some of Canada’s largest infrastructure and resource development projects. His involvement in these and other projects has equipped him with the necessary knowledge and experience to successfully navigate a diverse array of stakeholders during project development.
