Jason Azzam is an environmental professional with over 13 years of industry and consulting experience in Canada, Australia, Southeast Asia and South America. Jason has managed and led the development of Spill Prevention and Response planning, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System programs, Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessments, Contaminated Site Investigations, and Environmental Assessments for both up and downstream oil and gas, mining, telecommunications, government, utilities, and private clients.
Jason’s experience includes preparing project specific spill prevention and response plans and related HSE and Environmental Management plans; developing site specific geographic response plans/strategies; completing chemical hazard and risk management (CHARM) for offshore projects; completing on-site inspections and audits; coordinating and participating in spill response exercises; undertaking incident investigations; undertaking and leading environmental impact/risk assessments of spills; and managing HSE advisors and consultants for response related activities.
Jason is a certified Environmental Professional (EP) and EMS Lead Auditor. He has also completed Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET), Lead Risk Based Investigation Training (ICAM), and Marine Mammal Observation (MMO) Certifications.
