Serving as Hemmera’s Vice President of Ports and Infrastructure, Darrell Desjardin is a Senior Environmental Scientist and Project Manager with over 28 years of experience in the environmental, ports and marine, and oil and gas sectors. Darrell has led multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, and engagement professionals to conduct major environmental assessments, air quality inventories and emission reduction strategies, contaminated sites assessments, remediation projects, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Drawing from extensive project experience and a diverse skill set, Darrell has delivered projects requiring complex federal, provincial, and municipal government approvals, as well as First Nations and community support. His successful track record includes providing environmental, regulatory, and stakeholder support for a range of infrastructure and resource development projects in BC, Alberta, and Washington State. Darrell is also experienced at directing complex and controversial environmental assessment processes, and advising government and private sector executives on strategic environmental issues.
