Duties will include performing contaminated site investigations, remediation, risk assessment, data evaluation, report writing and project management. The successful candidates will work on a variety technically challenging projects and play a key role in the growth and development of the firm. Position requirements: A graduate degree, preferably a master’s degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering. 5 years of environmental consulting with some project management experience. Contaminated sites and risk assessment experience is mandatory, some experience in environmental impact assessment is a definite asset. Conceptual Site Models (CSM) experience Stage 1 and 2 Preliminary Sites Investigations (PSI) process within British Columbia and experience in completing Stage 1's and/or Stage 2 PSI's. Groundwater sampling techniques including bailers, waterra and low-flow sampling. Borehole/monitoring well installation, soil stratigraphy logging, soil sampling and monitoring well development experience Previous work experience with heavy equipment (back-hoes, excavators) for the purpose of test-pitting and remedial excavations. Working knowledge of the BC Contaminated Sites Regulation (CSR) Soil and Groundwater Standards and the CCME Guidelines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Location/Working Conditions: The successful candidate will be based in our Vancouver office. The position will involve approximately 75% office work and 25% field work.
